Portrait Busts

A portrait bust is a sculpture of an individual in full, three-dimensional detail – sometimes referred to a “in the round.” Such a portrait depicts the head and neck, and sometimes shoulders and chest area. Working from life, or a series of photographs, the sculptor can create a wonderful tribute to honor an individual of note. Generally created in the actual life-size scale, portrait busts may be mounted on a free-standing pedestal or wall.
