Brodin Studios, Inc., a company owned and operated since 1978 by a talented artist and Marine Veteran, Rodger Brodin, his brother, Neil Brodin, a retired Police Officer (also an Army Veteran), and a retired Deputy Sheriff by the name of Danielle Rodgers. The three worked together, joined along the way by a third Brodin brother, John, who was still a working police officer himself at the time, until Rodger’s untimely death in 1995.
A second “Brodin Studios” was created out of the ashes of that tragic event and continues to the present day, operated in much the same manner as before, but now by Neil and Danielle as a team of two and assisted by a large team of artists, artisans, craftspeople, foundry-workers, wax-workers, metal-finishers, patina artists and so on, you get the idea. We are a team, just as the two principle owners were when they worked the streets of Minneapolis and the larger Hennepin County with hundreds of partners on those large departments. The company has moved from Minneapolis to the small city of Litchfield in Minnesota, and there have been other small changes, but the making of quality bronze sculpture has not lost its intensity, and the connection with Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue and the Military, if anything, is much stronger today than thirty years before.
Our Official, often Stated, and very Public ”Company Mission Statement” is: We will create Beautiful and Meaningful Sculpture to Honor and Pay Tribute to those Special People who work daily in Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue and serve in our Country’s Military, and sadly Memorialize those fallen heroes; we do this at a profit if we are able, at a loss if we must, but Always, we will create Beautiful and Meaningful Sculpture!
